Q?Why does framing sometimes cost more than the art?

This is a fairly common question that we get asked and really it comes down to the fact that these days very often it is easy to mass produce prints etc and make artwork but custom framing is just that, custom, we take your art and make it the best it can be, regardless of if it’s an $80,000.00 Miro or a $4.99 poster.

Q?Why Custom framing, why not pre made framing?

Pre-made frames have their place, they are ideal for something your going to hang in the garage or yard or to give to someone you don’t like very much but custom framing is at the pinnacle of home design and when done correctly can really say something about the artwork and the owner.

It is very possible to make an expensive piece of artwork look cheap with the wrong frame, its also very possible to make a cheap piece of artwork look expensive which is why we not only discourage the use of pre-made frames but also take the time to train our team until their design skills are in line with our exacting standards so that your artwork is wrapped in framing perfection.

There are many different ways of mounting artwork, there are many different ways of framing artwork, we have an enormous selection of methods and materials that are used depending on the look you wish to achieve and the type of artwork you have, most people don’t realize that it is often the art that governs how a piece is framed and that’s why we are here to help you ensure that your piece is properly protected and cared for.
